The Master's trains you across the whole field in over 20 modules. You practise in clinics and in the cadaver lab in Verona and finish with a university examination: written, oral and with a thesis of your own. The degree is awarded by the universities of Camerino and Turin.

Our Master's programme in Aesthetic Medicine is designed to offer a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The study structure comprises core modules covering the fundamental aspects of aesthetic medicine, complemented by specialised electives that allow students to deepen their knowledge according to their interests and career goals.
The programme is divided into two main phases: the first year focuses on conveying sound expertise through lectures, seminars and workshops. In the second year, practical experience takes centre stage, including hands-on training in clinics and research projects.
This structure ensures that our graduates possess both the necessary theoretical foundations and the practical skills to succeed in the dynamic world of aesthetic medicine.
Two extended in-person weekends take place in Cologne each academic year, in July and in October. At the end of the first year the cadaver lab in Verona is added, and the second year closes with the final examination in Rome. Online teaching runs at the weekends. This makes the Master's possible on a part-time basis.
Admission to the examination requires attendance of 75 percent of the activities of an academic year.
Language of instruction
Our Master's in Aesthetic Medicine is taught entirely in English to ensure the international standard of the programme and to give students worldwide access.
Programme fees
The programme fee is €6,000 per academic year, €12,000 in total for the two years. The Italian regional tax and the stamp duties are included. You pay in seven instalments:
- €500 on registration, credited against the programme fee
- €1,500 at the start of the programme
- €2,000 by 30 August 2027
- €2,000 by 30 October 2027
- €2,000 by 28 February 2028
- €2,000 by 30 July 2028
- €2,000 by 30 September 2028

About Us
The Human Design team provides the premises for the International Master's programme in Aesthetic Medicine in Cologne. The programme was founded more than 10 years ago by the Italian universities of Camerino and Turin and has been continuously improved ever since. It takes place in three European cities (Rome, Athens and Cologne) and is taught by international lecturers and professors of the Italian universities. Regardless of the host city, the cadaver lab is held in Verona and the final examination takes place in Rome, followed by the award of the diploma.

Do I need a Master's to practise aesthetic medicine in Germany?
No, you currently do not. However, you are required to be able to demonstrate suitable further training. The Master's would satisfy this, for example. Beyond that, the degree gives future patients additional confidence.
Is the Master of Aesthetics internationally recognised?
Yes, the Master's is ISO 9001 certified and is recognised throughout Europe. It is also recognised in many countries outside Europe; in individual cases, this should be clarified with the relevant authorities in the respective country.
What are the requirements to do the Master's?
Admission to the Master's requires a successfully completed application process. Additional requirements are a licence to practise as a doctor or dentist and a good command of English (no proof required).
Can I do a Master's in aesthetic medicine as a dentist?
Yes, and the programme is split accordingly. In the first year all participants learn the fundamentals together. In the second year there are dedicated modules for dentists focusing on the facial region, while medical doctors go deeper into full-body treatments. Which services you may offer afterwards is something you clarify with your professional association.
Can I complete the Master's alongside a practice or clinic?
Yes, the programme is designed to be part-time. Theoretical teaching runs online at the weekends, plus two extended in-person weekends per year in Cologne, in July and in October, as well as the cadaver lab in Verona at the end of the first academic year. To be admitted to the examination you need to attend 75 percent of the activities of an academic year. An emergency shift, a congress or a holiday therefore will not put your degree at risk.
When does the next intake start and by when do I have to apply?
The next intake in Cologne starts on 1 July 2027 with the first in-person weekend. The application deadline is 10 June 2027. By then, your complete documents must have reached the secretariat of the University of Camerino. A class holds a maximum of 40 participants. At least 20 confirmed places are needed for an intake to start.
